A Wake-Up Call I Couldn’t Ignore
I never thought I would have a heart attack—let alone two before midlife.
In 2013, I started feeling chest pain and discomfort in my armpits. It lasted a week. I ignored it. I was too busy with life, too focused on everything else—until the pain became unbearable. When I finally got to the hospital, doctors told me my artery was 99% blocked.
I had just survived my first heart attack. They placed a stent to open the blockage. You’d think that would have been my wake-up call to change my lifestyle. It wasn’t.
I went back to stress, unhealthy habits, and ignoring my body’s warning signs.
The Second Heart Attack: A Harder Lesson
Fast forward five years—I had another heart attack. This time, it wasn’t just my heart that was in trouble; my mental and emotional health were suffering too.
I got a second stent, but even then, I struggled to make lasting changes. Deep down, I knew I had to do something. But I was also battling fear—fear of change, fear of death, fear of the unknown.
Choosing to Live with Faith and Purpose
Eventually that fear led me to research:
🔹 How to recover after a heart attack
🔹 How to prevent future heart issues
🔹 How to extend my life expectancy naturally
I also started leaning into faith like never before. Every day I wake up is a gift. And for the first time, I’m calling myself what I truly am—a survivor.
